You don't have to change the Tranny fluid all you have to do is keep it full. keep your eye on the level of fluid. the only time you have to change the fluid is when you change the Tranny pan gasket.

I work at a shop that changes it and we charge $99.96. Now remember there is 2 different ways to change it. If you want a new filter they will drop the pan and change the filter and gasket, but it only changes 30% of the fluid. Most people also offer a flush like we do where they flush out all the old fluid and send a cleanent and additive through the transmission to clean all parts and the filter. The flush is the most reccomended because you change all of the trans. fluid instead of only 30%. Whenever you only change 30% the new fluid will be contaminated by the old and ruin the point. Both services will averagely run around $99. The only time they really change is when your vehicle uses a synthetic type trans. fluid. When they use a synthetic type it can run up to $150.

It depends on what you have. You can get anywhere from 25% to 65% of the fluid out by dropping the pan. If you have a rear wheel drive that only has 25% in the pan you'll need a flush to change the fluid out. That will run at least $100. More if you want synthetic.

That is a rather hard question to answer accuretly. Without knowing what vehicle you own, what area your reside in, among other considerations, I would say somewhere between $30.00- to upwards of $115.00. Some vehicles require special fluid, such as the chrysler a604 automatic transmission, the use of other than specified fluid in some units may very well cause partial to full transmission failure. In short, use caution in choosing who you use to perform this task. hope this helps. burts chevy.

When you chage your trany fluid you will also get a filter and gasket replaced. Average around $99.00 could get find less if you shop around.
