I don't mind saying this, but people in the US are so pig ignorant about other countries that it is unbelievable.
With Internet Access today, especially Google Earth, there can really be no excuses for the lack of knowledge. Go try it for yourself.

Well...it as sure as damn is not London! Oh dear - bet I've lost you already, huh? You can even get planes there from the US, so I'm told...but if are starting off from London - it is around 160 miles north-east of the capital (id est; Sheffield-Doncaster)...Leeds, York etc. are further up the map).
