I mean many people (even our family) don't care about what we drool over.

Do you care?

Why should we care? They don't even undestand what they are trying to laugh of.

Just find your geek soulmate and laugh out loud at them together. It's refreshing.

I've been called both and much worse. It doesn't bother me. I'm one of those people that march to a different drum or whatever the saying is. I'm nonconformist. I do what I like and I think what I like and I feel how I feel. I don't change me for anyone. I am what I am and that's because it's what I've been given. I do the best I can with what I've got.

Peace

I shove it in their faces, whether they like it or not.

It is kind of disappointing sometimes, though. I'll be extremely enthusiastic about something, and they won't care at all.

I've gotten used to it, although it helps to have a friend or two to share enthusiasms with, even if it's occasionally.
