Where does a ring ed?

I am wondering about where a ring ends. How can you tell where it begins and where it ends?
How does a jeweller make it?

many rings are made from molds, so they dont even have an opportunity to end. the others end where a pattern start or a jewel is put in. most jewelers however make the "end" unnoticable to the naked eye
