One burger is gone forever in a few minutes but leather shoes can be durable for years. I don't wear them personally, but I get vegetarians who will use a sustainable byproduct of the meat industry.

Great question! I assume most vegatarians think about fur maybe, but not their shoes. Great, now Peta will come out with a new ad campaign about leather shoes....here we go.

Because they dont realize that shoes are made from a dead animal as is a hamburger. I think they just need something to wine about more than they actually care about the lives of animals aka tasty treats.
