It depends a lot on you, really.

A have a friend, for example, who is an absolute slave to graphics. He absolutely has to have the prettiest pictures on whatever he plays, or he's unhappy. And he's paid plenty for a huge TV and the like to make sure he gets it. He would be absolutely miserable with a Wii in the long run, even if he did temporarily enjoy some of the stuff on it.

On the other hand, there are many people who still play Tetris. You know... the original game with the blocks that fall. No appreciable graphics... just a fun game. Nintendo won't necessarily have more fun games than other systems, but they do presently have a completely unique way of interacting with those games, which has a lot of potential.

Potential is a bit of a key word here, too. There aren't a lot of Wii games out right this second, and many of them are criticized as being somewhat weak. The Zelda game is almost universally being declared as the best of the series ever, and is also fairly packed with content as well. Anything other than that seems to be hit and miss, so you may find the mood in Red Steel amazing or the quirky humour of Rayman: Raving Rabbids more than worth shelling out bucks for, or not.

As far as me... I have to say that I really like the size of the thing. I bought a small bag for it and can easily lug the whole thing around with me, or just tuck it into a corner of the day pack I'm often carrying. Which makes it for me not just a home console, but a game I can bring to parties to have a lot of group fun with. I tend to be fairly kinesthetic too, and the ability to do things in games as if I was REALLY doing them is really nifty for me.

Whether you get the same out of it will depend on you, to be honest. Hope that helps!

I've played wii before and it's not to exciting... the graphics are pretty bad and the controlls are annoying, but some games are really fun and exciting like call of duty 3. I think the wii is more for little obese kids who need to move around a bit more, but a few games that come with it are pretty cool

This is pretty much how game cube was when it first came out, and it seemed pretty cool until all the other systems came and killed it.

Yes, games are fun.

It has a pretty good launch right now, with the bets games being Zelda, Trauma Center, Exite Truck, Rayman Raving Rabids, and Red Steel.

Even Wii sports are fun, just the whole unique style of gameplay with the great Wii exlcusive titles, and normal titles such as Madden or Call of Duty, is also fun.

Its cheap, its fun to play, get it.
