Great question!

Considering that women outnumber men in the USA, why haven't women taken over? They could out vote men in every election.

Maybe it is because the women are voting for men.

Fortunately- the time is coming where gender for these roles is increasingly a non-issue. Many states have female governors (governesses?).

While Hilary Clinton probably isn't the best candidate for Pres- it's not because she's a woman. I'd probably even vote for her... if she were running against Jeb Bush. I've had enough of that family ruling our country.

We haven't had a female president because this country is run by two parties. The parties don't put the best person in office, they put the one that will win in. They don't think a woman could win so they haven't tried really. I think in 1983 a women ran for vice-president( she lost)

Wait about 2-3 years. You may be saying, "Why DO we have a female president?"

i'm with ya honey. we need a woman to straighten things out. unfortunately the world is not ready for this. if a good woman runs i'll vote for her. like hillary. but she'll never make it. as far as our country has progressed we're still not likely to see a minority president within our lifetime. it's really sad that some are so prejudice and racist.

Elections aren't till 2008.

That being said, I highly doubt there will be one in 2008. The only viable option from the Dems on that front is Hilary. Nothing would modivate the Republican party more than if she ran. It would be political suicide if she did. So naturally I'm all for her running.

We will. George Bush should just give the keys to Bill and Hillary, and the Repubs-losers should just go home and give their little bit they have to the Libertarians. Conservatism wont survive with Republicans-of-today and their new found desire of following the polls.

there will be a female president in 2008....if women would get off their bums and vote! not only will most democratic men vote for hillary just because she is democrat women will vote for her no matter what their beliefs just because they are women! its time for us women to come together and take over because obviously men don't know what the heck they are doing....and not just in politics either.

They have to run and be voted in. Can you tell me if or when that has happened? Do your home work before you make such a blanket comment,
