My all in one was working fine when I had dial up. Eversince I got this optimum online thing my faxes will not go through. It keeps saying the line is busy or in use. HELP!!!!!!

The fax machine works off a regular phone line. When you switched to cable internet someone rearranged the lines so the fax machine isn't hooked to the phone line anymore. The fax might have been plugged into the computer modem which was plugged into the phone jack, and when someone disconnected the old modem they took away the fax line too. You need to find the old phone jack and connect the fax back up to it.

To use a fax, you need a telephone line. Make sure that a phone cable is connected to the back of you computers system tower. Check if the cable goes into the right port at the back. If you're fax number has changed, make sure you change the number in the computers fax software. Try using the software called modem helper in your computer ( given with dell modems) to see if the modem is working.
