Is it because I am American? No this is serious, people do not belive I am related to her.... but my geneology said I am, should I even bother telling people any more?

So what if you are? Americans don't really care in the first place whether or not you are related to the Queen. Unless she has acknowledged the relationship or you are on her Christmas list it is meaningless anyhow. If the subject comes up in conversation then it is ok to share as an interesting tidbit but to pop out with it for no reason makes you sound like a braggart or someone who is trying to inflate their own consequence and that is unflattering to you.

People probably don't believe you because it didn't come up in conversation - you're shouting it to everyone from the rooftops; like on Yahoo Answers. People don't like to be given information out of nowhere about a subject that wasn't already on topic.

It makes you look like an attention getter, and therefore full of it.

Yes, you should stop telling people and bringing it up unless the topic (and not by you) comes up of family lineages and geneology.

Stop focusing on what others think, and focus on what YOU Want. Why are you even telling people?

Do what you want.

If you just care what others think of you, then keep trying, cause then you are fighting a loseing battle, cause there is alot of people on earth.

Live. That is my advice. Live. Forget about what or where you come from, and Just Enjoy Being . You are You, regardless of whom you are related too.

Either spend a life waisted or not.

If I were related to a King or royalty, I guarantee I wouldn't tell anyone, for then they like you for your Title only.

How many times do we see girls fall for "prince's" who are ugly as hell, and also complete inconsiderate guys.

Live your life. That is my advice.

Do what You want.

It's not about what others believe anyway. And when one thinks of it, even in geneology, we're all related somewhere along the line.

i do no longer think of the Queen is regarding Anne Boleyn in any respect. Anne Bolyen's daughter grew as much as be Queen Elizabeth I, yet she never married and had no descendents. Our latest Queen is a right away descendent of King Henry VIII's sister Margaret, who married King James IV of Scotland. whilst Elizabeth i replaced into dying, she names King James VI of Scotland as her successor, he replaced into her nearest blood relative and the glaring option to prevail.

You just might BE related to the queen of England. But, especially to the people who visit Answers, you're a total stranger to the vast majority, if not ALL, of us. That being the case, we have nothing whatsoever on which to base the credibility of your claim. In light of not having that, most people would tend to not believe you.

Your decision to claim that you're related to the queen is your choice, just be prepared for the majority of people you make this statement to to not believe you.

Why bother? Who cares? I would not admit to it myself. I can get you some geneology that says you are the rightful heir to the Hughes fortune. Geneology is like palmistry, tell them what they want to hear.

Even if they believe you, which I do, how is that going to change your life? Do you want to be treated better or what is your goal here. If you're looking for importance or respect, I'd say forget it. Look how far being related to the Royal Family got Diana and Princess Fergie.

Dream if you where related to the Queen for a start you wouldn't be bragging about it. You know the old saying "those who brag come from nowhere"

Not really. Unless you want to carry your genealogy with you. Besides if you don't know her personally whats the point. She may share your blood line but I doubt that it will get you into the palace.
