Joe Lanteri used an Emerson, Lake & Palmer song at one of his workshops a few years ago that was dynamite. "Dark Moon". Very powerful for a Jazz piece. For a turn on a lyrical piece have you thought of 100 Years by Five for Fighting? Especially nice if you have some males in the piece.

For lyrical I would say:
What's left of me - by Nick Lachey
It ends tonight - by All American rejects
How could this happen to me - by Simple Plan
Sorry seems to be the hardest word - by Clay Aiken
I will be right here waiting for you - by Clay Aiken
All the songs by Clay Aiken are for lyrical dance. Try to download them, I know you'll like them Bye!!!! :-)

my all time favourit was freddi stair and that ginger rogers bird dancin in a band stand to that nice jazzy number "isent it a lovely day to be caught in the rain" some outhers ....puttin on the ritz..
(lively)....."ten cents a dance".....(sultry)....."basin street blues"
a good dance number stands the test of time everybody knows
the singin in the rain job,as regards a group dance i dont think you can beat the pic nic scene in 7brides seven brothers, its shear genious. best of luck.
