I would have to say no unless you really know her taste. I think a purse is a personal item that people like to pick out for themselves. I don't think I would want anyone to pick a purse for me. I'd consider getting her something else.

I would think it would be fine, especially if you're young. It's not like you have a lot of money to be spending. It's the thought that counts.

The price doesn't matter as much as the look. If it looks like a 10 dollar purse, aka cheap looking fabric and all around just a crappy product, then I would say now. However if it is high quality, and has a good design, she won't be able to tell whether it cost 10 dollars or 100 dollars. Go ahead!

it depends. Is she really into thename brand things, or is she down to earth. If she is caught up in the designer and name brand stuff, she may not truly appreciate it, she may say oh how nice or whatever the appropriate response is, but the question is would she ever use, esp when you are not there. If it doesn't matter, I have seen a lot of cute bags for 10$ lately she doesn't need to know how much you spent on it

Yeah, it really is the meaning of just getting the purse for someone. I'm sure the friend would be happy with anything you give her.

Happy holidays!

if she knows thats all you can afford, then sure. but please make sure 1.she needs it, its not just an attempt at a frugal gift 2.it looks cute and worth it, not cheap and stuff.
they say the thought counts, but if ur worrying that means u want the gift to mean something and be nice, so make sure its nice, it obviously can't be an expensive brand, but it can't also be blatantly a cheap brand (like if it was a Boach brand) haha

It's the thought that counts, not the price tag. Look at the gift and think if you would like to receive if your answer is yes, then you should be fine.

It depends what her taste is. You can get a designer purse for $15 from TJMaxx...If she's one of those fashion conscious people.

As for the first person to comment...It's not WHAT you bought them or how much you spent...it's the thought that counts.

If the friend likes $10 gifts, yes, it would be a good gift.
