I would give back to different communities by donating my time and money to different Charities. Also I would not be too good to walk down the street talking to people instead of hiding my face.

Write/email them back, take photos with them and not charge, sign autographs. What ever I could think of so they would support (see my movies etc.) me.

You know I would try to treat them like people. Recognition, and appreciation, of their support.
The problem is that most celebrities get overwhelmed and stop trying to be nice when so many people fail to respect their private lives.
