I am 14, I have 2 outside cats, 1 outside dog, 1 outside rabbit, and an inside hamster. I would like another inside pet, but I can't have a dog because my mom doesn't like me having a dog in the house. I was going to get a ferret, but I don't think my house is suitable. So now I don't know what to get. I am responsible, I'm just not sure. And I can't have a cat or rabbit inside, because I am allergic to them.

Oh, and just because I am allergic to my rabbit and cats, they get enough attention. I spend tons of time with them. I just can't have them in the house. I love my pets, and give them all the attention they need plus some.

Hi!!! well go to a local animal place, they will for sure have animals there, go through out the store and find an animal that fits your personality like maybe a bird, another hamster, or what ever else they have. Find an animal that you and your family members agree on(and sutible for price)...GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! :)

Not to sound mean... but if you're allergic to cats and rabbits, why do you have them at all? Do they get any attention at all? Both should really be kept indoors, for their own safety as well as their mental and emotional health. Both are social animals and love human contact. Unless someone else in your home is providing them lots of love and contact, I'd urge you to consider finding better homes for them.

That said... if you can't have those pets indoors, perhaps a lizard or hermit crab or even (yuk) a snake. Just depends on what you like and what you want out of the pet. If you're allergic to cats and rabbits, I'd be leary of a ferret... I know a lot of people are allergic to those as well (same with guinea pigs).Birds are another option if you want something that might be more interactive. If you get a cockatiel, you can teach it songs and words and they're fairly inexpensive (compared to the other talking birds).

I hate to say it, but it sounds like you have your hands full with the pets you already have. If you got a ferret, you wouldn't have much time for the rest of your pets. A ferret requires a great deal of time. Also, please realize that a ferret is a very expensive pet to own. Since you are only 14, would your mom be willing to pay the vet bills?
To give you an idea on vet bills, I have had to take two of my ferrets into the vet this year due to them being sick. On top of this I had to pay for shots. In the past year I have spent close to $2,000 in vet bills. Most of that cost was spent on just one ferret. Again, they are VERY expensive pets to have.
Maybe think of getting another hamster.

Get a small animal, like a guinea pig.Even rats are good pets, contrary to popular belief.Or you could go with a reptile/amphibian if you're into that kind of thing. An easy reptile to start with is a leopard gecko...Or a bird, birds are fun =)

I say get a bird , I'm not a real bird fan but they are not to hard to clean and a plus your are not allergic to them. Well good luck and when you find one you will know it you'll feel that special bond. Good Luck

get a chinchilla!! they're awesome!! and if you are allergic to pet fur, that's OK, because i think they're fur doesn't make allergic reactions. They're really lovable too, if you train them right. I have 2, and they're sooo soft. Easy to clean up after too.

Buy one of this little robotic dogs....I got one for my kid (she's scared of it though)....and it's great. Unfortunately, it keeps leaving little batteries all over the house and in my shoes.

Try a chinchilla. They are well tempered and great pets. My friend has one and it lives in her room.
