I say no. Sure, Andre Miller is a franchise player and Joe Smith has been all over the NBA, but losing Iverson, who is going to replace that type of talent? There is no one to draft with their 2 1st round draft picks. Greg Oden may be a select, but that is if he comes out. My answer is simply no. You cannot replace that type of talent that A.I. puts on the court every night the Sixers play.

They will definitely be better off in the long run. It is very hard to develop younger players when the guy who is supposed to help that development doesn't pass the ball. Now guys like Iguadala, Kyle Korver, and Dalembert have no choice but to step up and play the game.
It will probably be ugly this year, but the potential for the future is now there again, and that is something Sixers fans have not seen in a while.

Whats up with people thinking Denver gonna be a good team now. [profane], Melo' and AI aint gonna play great together. You can't have the top 2 scorers on the same team cause they gonna average about 3/4 of the teams points and that doesn't make good team chemistry. [profane], I dont care, I'm a Pistons fan. Plus, AI might not shoot the ball so well for the first couple games cause of how high the damn city is. I mean when he shoots, the ball might go straight over the shot clock. My point is these 2 ain't gonna make it to the conference finals and certainly will never make it to the finals with Dallas, LA Lakers, Utah, Phoenix and San Antonio in their way.

I dont think they will be better off in the scoring department, but it may be more spread our with a lot of guys puttiong up 15 or so, it could work out well for them, they got some talent and leadership for the trade and got rid of someone that really didn't want to be there. no matter how good a player is, they need to have commitment to achieve their full potential for themselves and the club.

time will tell if it is better or not, take care

Of course not. Without Iverson they have no chance, I mean your taking 30+ points away from them every game.

maybe, cause now that there is no ball hog, now the players can bring out their "A" game.. they have good players but they can't score cause iverson always has the ball..

now anthony and iverson are together, i wonder how the 2 will work together, they are the number 1 and 2 leading scorer repectively

the sixers weren't going anywhere with him, so he won't be much of a loss. plus the young players will finally get a chance to touch the ball.
