My answer to your headline was going to be jokey, but having now read the rest.....
Clearly he's keeping 'separate worlds' going on in his life with You on the one side of this divide, ands his Mates on the other.

As an alternative, try to talk-it-through - With-Him and see what emerges.
AL-Most as a side issue: I personally 'hate' the text talk - as in 'm8' instead of writing the word itself. It tends to imply a great deal to the reader (well, to this one anyway) in the same way that your boyfriend's behaviour implies things to you.

Thats certaintly not right at all. If he had real feelings for you, he would have introduced you to all of his mates by now. Within the first month you should know all his mates.
Either he is telling the truth and he is embarassed of his pathetic mates, and he doesnt really like them enough for you to meet. He is ashamed of them and doesn't really value them as friends. The other side of that is vice versa, he is embarassed & ashamed of you.
Demand you meet his mates, and follow it through, otherwise end it quickly. If so, perhaps wait a while till you mature a bit and find a real boyfriend when you are ready.
