Its either broken or not, there is no such thing as a mild break! If it was broken you would prob be in a lot of pain. Its best to get it checked out at the ER. If it is broken it needs to be treated;
Edit: In response to anothers comment. A break is a break medically, no matter what the degree, and needs treatment!!

Either it is broken or it is not - only an X-ray will provide conclusive answer. However, it may be a fracture of the radius or ulna - a green-stick fracture that is not a complete break. Still it would be wise to consult a physician or hospital - your health is more important than money. Any fracture or break can develop complications, so be wise - get seen.
Bruising and swelling are usual with any fracture - you don't mention that. It may be merely a bruise - some take a few days to 'come out' - be visible. Your symptoms are more consistent with the latter. My advice - err on the side of caution - get it looked at.

the two that's broken or that's no longer - only an X-ray will furnish conclusive answer. even with the undeniable fact that, that's a fracture of the radius or ulna - a green-stick fracture that isn't an entire smash. nonetheless it may be clever to seek for suggestion from a doctor or well being facility - your well being is extra substantial than money. Any fracture or smash can advance issues, so be clever - get considered. Bruising and swelling are properly-known with any fracture - you do no longer point out that. that's basically a bruise - some take some days to 'come out' - be seen. Your indications are extra consistent with the latter. My suggestion - err on the part of warning - get it appeared at.

Hi well first off all how do you know you may have a fracture ? Only a x-ray will tell if you have a fracture or not.Some fractures you get mild pain and discomfort so you saying its tender it could be a fracture or a sprain,you need a x-ray to rule this out.But if you have a fracture and dont get the right medical care,the fracture will not heal correctly in the right position,and later on in life you will get problems,the pain will continue and you will get more stiffness in that area too.And also you will probably find it hard to use this arm to lift or to do general things with out getting an aching sensation.So i would a advice you to go to your dr and get medical advice asap.Good Luck

There could be serious consequences if the bone is not set and poking into flesh - infection, etc. if it is still basically intact and in place then it may heal with a slight bend/quirky type twist - either way, once broke there is always the later risk of development of arthritic problems which could be worsened by breaks not properly set. - I wish I could say, come visit us in Canada - at least that way you'd have treatment.

Huggywell's not quite right - there are degrees of fracture - from a 'greenstick' where the bone is just a bit bent (treated with rest and a sling), to really nasty 'compound' with fragments of bone piercing the skin (requiring surgery). I would say if you can move your arm as much as you did before without great pain it can't be too serious. Pity you're not in the UK where you'd get it treated for nothing!

It is NOT broken I am positive😃 I broke my elbow it hurt so bad I SCRAM SO LOUD like someone died or something. If it were broken it would be bruised and swollen. It could be a sprain or a very very small fracture😃

I broke my wrist in June. It was well sore and no-one believd me and so I went to the doctors and they were like 'we're not sure if it's broken, come back in a week'. So I came back in a week and they were like 'yeah you're arm's f**ked'.
So to sum things up: don't sleep on it, drive, go mountain biking, rock climbing or arm wrestling and you'll be fine.
