Certainly some opportunities only come once in a lifetime. Remember fate is kindest to those who are prepared. So, know yourself so you know which opportunities to grab.

I think so...I guess we never really know- if an opportunity will come our way again, so, it's best to believe that ANY good opportunity be treated as such and be ready willing and able to proceed forward with it. Those that snooze, lose. It's happened to me many, manty times. If I could turn the clock back- I would have done a few things differently. Then again... who is to say that it would have been a good choice or not.

everything is a once in a lifetime thing. in fact you can drop the lifetime. everything only happens once. i believe the saying is you can not step into the same river twice. certain circumstances might be similar but no opportunity comes twice. you just have to weigh all the factors and make the best decision you can at the time. all you have is your mind.

yes. even if we say that history repeats itself, it is only the circumstances that repeat itself. there are still factors that are different. that feeling/event/opportunity comes only once in a lifetime. no more turning back.

you will never know that you made a right decision until you take it. it's all in the matter of taking risks. you think ahead and see the consequences you'll go through if you take this particular chance. :)

Absolutely. I had a "once in a lifetime" chance to move to Florida and I did:)

Ten years later I had to leave (getting too expensive) and I know I'll never have that chance again:(

yep, its a song on the Eragon soundtrack by JEM... seriously, yes there are, and I've let too many pass me by w/ out knowing until its too late.... best answer, be spontaneous!!!! don't procrastinate or worry too much about why this shouldn't work or if its too dangerous. take life as it comes, and if someone offers you something you want, but you're not sure if you should take it, just f*ck the consequences and take it!
