It is best to take all pills in each pill pack, this keeps you in the habit of taking the pill daily.

The fourth week of pills are usually just sugar pills, which have no significance on you getting pregnant. The first 3 weeks are the most important one. You want to be sure you take them EVERY day and as close to the same time as possible.

Hope this answer helped!

Depends on the pills, you take the ones that are a different color during your period, at least some of them aren't pills that do anything, it's just to make it easy to stay on schedule. That is what poison control, and the pharmacy said when a child I know ate three of the off day ones. It may vary depending on the type though

It depends on what type of pills you are on. Most birth control pills are 3 weeks with one week of sugar pills. So no most pills you don't have to take the last week of white pills.

Medically they dont. As other answerers have mentioned however they are Sugar pills meant to help you keep track. It is conductive to good usage to take them however as if you take it every day at the same time (even the sugar pills) you will be less likely to forget to take a regular pill which can cause the pill to fail (the pill is actually 99.9% effective if you take it properly).

You don't have to take the sugar pills...they are just there to keep you on your routine of taking a pill daily so that when the time comes to start the new pack, you don't forget.

It all depends on what brand you are using. I only have 21 days of pills without any placebo ones. I think the best way to find out is to back to your pharmacist and ask them which one you should start with to prevent anything you don't want happening.

I'm not sure about all brands, but with mine I don't have to take them that week. I do, because if I stop taking them for a week, I'll forget to go back to the active pills. (My inactive pills are green though, so I can't be sure about your brand)

Typically, those are "inactive." Basically they are there so you stay in the habit of taking the pills every day, so you shouldn't necessarily HAVE to, but it can be a good idea so you don't miss an "active" pill.

In most cases they're simply placibo "reminder" pills, although some have iron in them to stave off anemia. However, if you think you'll remember to start your next pack on time, you can skip them...unless you're using Seasonale....in which case you take ALL the pills continuously for 3 months (you didn't mention which brand you're using!).

Nah, they are just sugar pills to help keep track of when you need to take the real ones.
