No No No, as a musician I can tell you the real story. You can't explain why some die for inexplicable reasons like being shot or choking on food, but musicians, especially successful musicians, possess a certain isolational quality. We don't enjoy people very much, and we are very conceited. By drawing ourselves into our own little worlds, we feel drugs are the only way that we can feel sane and normal. Believe me, when you become dedicated to your music to the point where thats all you want to do, you lose interest in everything society has to offer you. You just want to be able to create music, and the world pisses you off every time everyone starts buying out the Pussycat Dolls and Fergie albums. For dedicated musicians, this type of music is very depressing. It makes us feel inadequate. Its like a big F you to have your album sit on the shelves while talentless performers that don't even write their own music are standing in the spotlight (Diddy). Drugs are what makes us forget how F'd up the world really is, and with every drug, as you build a tolerance you do more and more. Once you take a break and start back up, you will do the same amount you did when your tolerance is up, and thats how you overdose. It is usually never meant to be, you aren't thinking about whether or not its too much when you're shooting up, you've become used to a certain amount that you just can't handle anymore.

Freddie Mercury died from AIDS and John Lennon was shot. I don't think anyone really knows why until they live the lime light life. There are a lot of people that get caught up in life in the fast lane not only musicians. They just get the blunt end of having their life out for all to see and their mistakes and downfalls are seen before their good.

Tom Petty said he'd rather burn out, then fade away, I think alot of rockers believe that philosophy fully, and the result is early departure. Do a quick seearch for the 27 club, it's group of musicians that all rose quickly to fame and had tragic deaths at the same age, interesting stuff. Hope that helps.

They smoke, do drugs and drink alchohol.
Why do you think they are doing everything they can to stop kids from doing these things?
I am in fifth grade and we have this thing called red ribbon week.
It's where they make us wear stupid braclets, ribbons,necklaces and other pieces of dumb stuff that says don't smoke or drink.
It was absolutly riddiculous.
They under estimate kids to much, because most kids know better to not smoke.

fame! When you become famous people become obsessed either with the rocker or the rocker becomes obsessed with being famous and can't handle it and resort to drugs and alcohol.

because so many of them are stupid and like the drugs, alcohol, and sex...by drugs that get overdose, same with alcohol..and the sex gives them STDs...if these are not the reasons a lot of it is because of exhaustion...do you see how they act on stage...I wish I could do that one day :)
