Are you blind to the barbarity you are trying to support with this question? Why would you wish to remain ignorant to the origins of human life? Is convenience so important that you would ignore even the possibility of life in the womb? Don’t buy into what the majority is selling on this one…think it through.

Man is born into sin. Abortion has nothing to do with it except the killing of innocent children. Do you think original sin is punishable by death in human terms? We are condemned but have been given the chance to believe even ithough we have not seen. Thats the only answer. Any other answer is human and comes from the sin within, not devine from without. The only devine intervention is when the individual believes. Then his decisions are based on Gods word and not mans. All you people out there that disagree, your probobly a lot smater than me, but then we won't need chemistry, philosophy, algebra, etc, etc when we die, just belief or non belief! What a tough decision. Hey Save the children eh?

Actually the argument against abortion is that the child is a human being. Any determination of "innocence" is strictly in the legal sense, not the moral sense, as an argument to those that don't think you can oppose abortion and support the death penalty.
It would help you to understand peoples positions on the subject if you talked to educated and informed persons, not posting on a forum like this, which is mostly inhabited by pre-teens.

The strongest opponents of abortion happen to be mainly Roman Catholics (though, for once, 'Fundie' Protestants agree with them). It is the RC Church which most uses 'Original Sin' in teachings - but it is an area where Protestants have traditionally agreed with them, just not the emphasis.
"Innocent', I think you'll find, is not used necessarily in terms of Original Sin when debating abortion, but in the sense of 'innocent victims', as RCs and Protestant opponents of it both maintain they are 'human beings' with the right to live - not be 'butchered' at the "whim" of the mother. In that sense, the babies are 'innocent' - unaware of their fate and 'not deserving it'.
They are like 'innocent commuters' blown up by a terrorist - NOT innocent of Original Sin (at least, once they're born).

Yes, Catholics are "Pro-Life" and believe in Original Sin.
Being affected by the taint of Original Sin does not affect the inherent human dignity of every human being and his or her right to life from the moment of conception until natural death.
With love in Christ.

People who believe in the concept of original sin believe every human is born with it.
This question makes no sense.
The issue of babies being innocent is relative to the argument made by people who say it is wrong to be pro-life and in favor of the death penalty.
EDIT: My statement that this question makes no sense is not based on any religion. It is a statement about logic.

Exodus 21:22 says, If you harm a woman with child and she loses the fruit of her womb...you should pay a fine as determined by a judge."
Hardly a major sin...certainly not the big deal that eating the wrong apple is.

If you believe in original sin (I am not religious) killing a baby before its baptism is like sending a person straight to hell without giving them the chance to repent or telling them who jesus is. This is a grave act. Actually, without original sin, it could hardly be seen as such a big deal... send them to heaven without even seeing the wicked world we live in, nothing could be more humane right?

Interesting , so no original sin at conception .They also say that innocent children go to heaven . Some true believers have even killed their kids in an effort to spare them from going to hell .I have argued that at the time of your death if you have lived a proper life you will go to heaven and is that not the goal one would want for their kids to achieve .
So if a drunk driver kills them then he has assisted your child in reaching God and why is this such a bad thing, likewise those people who kidnap rape and kill the innocent . Seems the 100 years you live on earth is such a small portion of life for those who believe in God and follow his supposed teachings .
Could it be that true believers who take the lives of children should be rewarded instead of jailed .They are your kids after all .
If I raised a racist would or should I be jailed .What should one think.
I wonder What does God offer in this world ? What evidence do we have of his existence and since no one has come back or has any proof been offered that ghosts exist or you can speak to the dead .What makes people believe in the unseen . "Faith ".Well faith would allow you to accept the death of everyone at anytime . Mans laws above Gods is another twist of logic thats hard to follow .That pesky thou shall not kill gets in the way a lot when you go to war or shoot 92 year old black women in her home .
I find very few true believers exist and they are condemned in most cases by authorities and the community for following the written words of God .
Millions now read and bibles are under a rewrite to meet the needs and clarify the facts . Thou shall not kill is clear right . NO stealing or lying right . Is it lying when you tell your girlfriend you lover her and sleep with her best friend .
This condemns many a young American to hell but I forget about that little lope hole called forgiveness .
So I am hungry and need food--- so I rob a store ,am chased by police shot at and kill one as he turns a corner with a pipe go to court and say .Well as i was walking through a store i felt hungry and ate an apple the store owner asked me to pay for it and i reached for my wallet only to find it missing . He becomes agitated at this and calls the police yelling and screaming , an undercover officer close by responds and just As I head out the back door he yells stop and begins to chase me . After hearing the shots fired at me I am scared and hide behind a wall ,on the ground is a pipe so I pick it up and when he turns the corner I wack him in the head with it only to find out he is a police officer .
Have I committed any crime at all . I sent him to heaven if he was a good boy .
Seems we cherish life way to much and those assisting people in reaching heaven are under attack from those who believe or say they do demanding death .Remember thou shall not kill . Except if the state says its OK.

Original sin was eating an fruit, how bad could that be?
Since the #1 cause of abortion is the stigma on unwed mothers from the conservative right, I am against the #1 cause of abortion.
