I had my first child at seventeen years old. While I was totally afraid and very much ashamed of my situation, I met a nurse at the doctors office who treated me with respect. She addressed me as "Ms." Was always polite and treated me like one of her regular patients. Because of this lady, I was able to hold my head up high, graduate high school and go on to become a nurse.

That is a very good question and first thing that cames to my mind was racism. I have been working in factories all my adult life ( 15 + years) as a electrician; furthermore,I have a associate degree and still different human resource manger say that I am too something. Over qualified, need training etc I have continues training and certification over the years in my field. The reason why it so hard is 95 % of factories electrician is the highest paid hourly worker on site. A skilled position. There is nothing i can do to control or help my situation. So this has really impacted MY life the most.

Moving around so much abd going to 12 diff schools growing up. I met so many people and all ethnicities that i truly understand all people these days and can get along with anyone. I'm very diversified. Even though it was terrible always making friends and then turn around and move again and it was extremely difficult, i perservered, made the best of it, what else could i do anyhow but adapt. Still it lets me know how to deal with all people of every form.

in 1973, changing from being a card-carrying hippie to a committed Christian (and the attendant miracles that I will not go into).
Only birthing our first child (and I am still married to that hippie husband 38 years later, (who thankfully also converted to Christianity) ) was of similar mind-blowing and life changing impact.
God has so radically changed my life for the better that I am unable to tell you the enormous scope of this change. And it started with a 'leap of faith' that God is real and has a Son to be my Saviour.
thanks for asking <><

The passing of my older sister due to an inoperable tumor on her spine two days before Christmas 1996. It took me over four years to deal with where my entire outlook on life changed.

The decision to move to the US. It gave me a better way of living my life, a good education, a religion that I respect and the man of my dreams. What else could I ask for?
