I just graduated college and have a degree in Business Management. Also, I'm a former White House intern who was interested in studying political science and becoming a politician, but now, I want to be a bodyguard for the President. What are the procedures? What do they look for in a person? How would I qualify?

Since some of the hate filled fools don't want to contribute anything meaningful, I have provided you with the links to their website. It should have detailed information you will need. Had a cousin who started with the FBI then moved on to the Justice Dept, then finally ended his career with the Secret Service. He jenjoyed it, told me many times it was rewarding and interesting. Good luck.

I think the first is making sure you're not a threat to the president. You're not a member of Al Qaida are you? OK, good.

I very much doubt that they hire people right out of college to provide direct protection to the president. I suggest starting to get experience by working as a police officer, or going to the FBI. Secret Service falls under the treasury department, so you might find some kind of law enforcement work there. You'll want to gain substantial experience. The military might be a good option as well, perhaps working as an MP.

You need to be of impeccable moral character. If you've got any kind of criminal record you can forget about it. If you have a history of drinking and/or using illegal drugs, even if you've never been convicted of anything, your chances are slim to none.

You need to be in excellent physical condition as well.

You probably need to have good rapport with the right people. I suspect it isn't a position you just fill out an application for. Presidential guard duty is something that you likely have to be reccommended for. They will surely do an extensive background check.

P.S. I see you got some responses from some liberals. All they ever do is spew hatred. Don't let them bother you.

The usss does not hire anyone out of college unless they have military background, law enforcement background
and you would have to undergo a very strict background check, have NO criminal background or convictions of
any kind, have to be an American citizen and no illness or diseases.
