It all depends on you. If you are going to be some hikikomori gaijin who never goes outside then your social life will be pretty... non existent. But if you get out and make friends, though clubs and church and school, work etc. Then you should be fine. Its just like anywhere else, and anywhere in the world a social life depends on your enthusiasm and personality.
At first people will not really approach you, because you are a stranger and assume you cant speak any Japanese, but just show them that you can, don't be afraid, just open your mouth and chat and smile and you will be fine.

I don't understand your question.
But social life in japan is very similar to any social life you can find in almost any country.
Very active with lots of drinking.

It can be as active as you want it to be. I live in Japan, and it can be a very fun country.

It's great-they have all-night bars where you can just hang out and drink Coors and shoot the **** until dawn.
