Most Americans don't know that the period is an indication of how healthy a woman is. We always get plenty to eat and good nutrition in this country so our women get periods as often as nature will allow (about every 28 days). HOWEVER, when that cycle is interrupted due to stress, poor diet, altered sexual activity, etc. things could change.
In some countries a period might come once a YEAR, due to unhealthy conditions or malnourishment. Those things tell a woman's body that it isn't a good time to reproduce, therefore shuts off/slows down the reproduction cycle.
Cool eh? This is why I'm a biologist.

It could be late because of a lot of thingsd. I went 5 months without having a period because I was so stressed out. Stress actually causes a lot of women to have their period later than their normal.

I would suggest taking a home pregnancy test, or go to planned parenthood for a doctor administered test.
In general, if you're missing multiple periods, you're probably pregnant.
On the other hand, stress and anxiety can disrupt your monthly cycle. And of course if you are anorexic, this can also stop your period.

Depends on how old you are. When I first got mine, I got it for like 2 months and then it went away for six. If you've been having it for a long time, you might be pregnant, you should go see a doctor. If not, don't worry unless it doesn't come back for like a year...

Your either pregnant, have a cyst, you lost a lot of weight recently or you have an STD, among other things. Go to the doctor.

Are you a man? You're lack of an avatar makes it seem so. You're not supposed to have periods. Don't worry about it.
