The cost starts at 84c so if you want to send a letter without going to the post office you will need two 39c stamps and three 2c stamps if you have any left.

It might get to the UK, but we have a new postage system here, which not even the post master general understands. It'd be best to ask at the post office rather than take advice from anyone - it's their job to know.

Go to the nearest US Post Office and they'll tell you the exact postage to put on the letter.

according to my postage meter you need 84 Cents worth of postage

depends on the weight, go to usps.com it will calculate it all out for you but I believe for regualr letter it is $0.80.
