FRESH?? what do you mean? Do you want to know how long you can let it sit in the tank of a car?

Under ideal conditions, which include a temperature of around 32 degrees Fahrenheit and in a sealed environment, gasoline loses probably one octane per month. Under less than ideal conditions, you might consider it to be somewhat faster. Although there are other things which happen to gasoline stored in a tank, among them mixing with water vapor, you can see that tanks which are not emptied and refilled regularly can create operational problems for even a meager internal combustion engine.

I am inclined to agree with the 'couple of months' advice. I used to work around small-engine people a lot and people who put gas in a mower and leave it sit too long tend to end up needing carbeurator rebuilds.

There are couple of gas additives on the market such as Sta-Bil. I use Sta-Bil in my 2-cycle and mower gas because those things sit for weeks to months at a time.

Gas gets "old" over the span of months as opposed to weeks.

Stored gas for like your lawn mower is good for a couple of months. Old gas will clogg carburators.
