Have you ever suffered from anti social behaviour by groups of youths and if so how did you deal with them ? Also why are they so big and clever in their little gangs but wimps if you get them on their own ? Also tell me what type of clothing these little darlings were wearing cos I reckon they all wear a similar outfit THE BASEBALL CAP !!! OR HOODIE !

I personally blame the parents for being unable to control the little darlings do you..

Sorry several questions in one.

I consider myself an antisocial youth. You have offended me. But i do admit that many people my age are quite annoying. i believe its partly their parents fault and partly their fault - some people are born annoying.

Is it that the parents can't control the youths or that the parents are encouraging them? Last year, we couldn't walk in any parks or on any commons in this borough. Everywhere, youths in the 13/14 yr. age group were riding small motorbikes on footpaths, across playing fields, through woodland. They rode dangerously, at top speed and enjoyed scraping past walkers and giving them a fright.

When my husband remonstrated with them, the boys became intimidating, drove ahead and then waited on benches to taunt us. Yes, they were wearing hoodies and were always in groups.

My point is, that they wouldn't have had the wearwithall to behave like this if the stupid parents hadn't bought them the bikes to start with. Where on earth did they think their sons were going to ride them?

At the time, the police had ceased taking any complaints against these boys because officers were overstretched due to anti terrorist measures in the London area after 7th July. So the boys got away with the behaviour and what happened was that nobody else was able to use the green spaces after school time or during the holidays as the boys moved from park to park.

Prior to 7th July, there had been a contact available who followed up complaints and dealt with the offenders. Once that summer we did try a quick visit to the local rec. and even found a father had driven a large panel van there full of boys on motorbikes and let them loose on the paths.

This summer, we didn't have any problems. The police must have returned to normal duties and dealt with them.

I used to be one, never violent or anything, but i can see now how intimidating it would have seemed to others, i think most youths who hang out in large groups probably don't realise it's disruptive (some not all), they r just out with friends having a laugh. I do try and avoid gangs of youths cause the scare the **** out of me. Everyone is braver when they have back up and can show off a bit. They wear the same clothes to fit in, like all kids do. And i think to some degree it is the parents fault, but it also depends on the kid, some r just uncontrollable, but i think it is time to start punishing parents of out of control youths, putting the parents in jail or fining them would soon help them sort the kids out! Also having more places for teenager to hang out would be beneficial, there is no point in complaining about youths hanging out in the street when there is no other options for them.

Yep I have! the little gits!!! I worked in a chip shop and every evening they would come in and try to look hard. They would ask for things then say they didn't want them. They used to chuck things at the window and tip pop all over the floor. They would get all the flyers and leaflets and rip them up all over the floor. I just used to go to the phone and tell them I was gonna ring the police, or big Kate lol would pick them up by their hoods and chuck them out, yeah! lol. No they were just the same on their own, perhaps I have a hardcore movement in my area....Yep they wore hoodies and baseball caps. It was their parents fault too, we will forever be blighted by the little sods because they bread like rabbits.

The problem stems from parents caring very little about what their kids get up to once out of ear-shot or eye line.
Also lacking would be an authoritative figure, the male of the household, either being absent, or just not having a man about the house.
These young girls getting pregnant to be eligible for a council place and not caring for their offspring are one of the curses of our society.
And an embarrassment.

i was pushing my baby along in a pushchair coming out of a busy town centre into a walkway which is usually more busy but at that time wasn't. i had to be somewherte in a hurry so i just went for that route. a group of three boys (apprx 17?) started swearing that i had cut them up (despite the fact that i was already in front of them before entering the walkway). they assumed i couldnt speak english and cowardly laughed amongst themeselves. i knew it would be best to overlook it as none of us was born old but unfortunately i ended up correcting them. they were astonisehed i could speak coherently but upon recovering their senses swore and strode off. a battle not won, but i was not whitewashed either. not something to be proud of either way.

Perhaps you don't understand the term anti-social. Kids who are anti social are usually by themselves, not in "gangs" so you would always find them on their own. Baseball caps and hoddies are a pretty common outfit. Anti socials usually wear all black, wierd makeup, piercings and chains. How old are you anyways? Are there kids in you nieghborhood that play loudly that is annoying you? Do you think they should all be sitting in front of a computer on yahoo asking stupid questions about sociable adults?
