Seeing these incidents like tsunamis,earthquakes,forest-fires,floods,global warming,wars,WMDs, Nuclear Weapons in the hands of rouge nations etc.
The end seeems near and inevitable, But how would it be????

We are an adaptable species, with great genetic and cultural variation. There have even been people shown to be immune to AIDS. I say we either nuke ourselves in wars over over diminishing resources or there is a great natural disaster that creates nuclear - winter type conditions, but it's really a roll of the dice with natural processes. Read the article below and just count the ways! By the way, predicting imminent doom is a great way to get attention, but not very useful. Proposing and implementing solutions is far more productive.

There is only one scenario, when man may not be able to survive for sure .
It is probably millions of years away if not billions of years.
Ultimately earth will be consumed by our sun. We are in a approximate elliptical orbit but all practical purposes it a spiral-elliptical orbit ending in the sun sooner or later. But a sure thing.
Unless, earth or sun has a coalition with a very large heavenly body before the above event.

WOULD: no end, be rescued by some beautiful princess ...
WILL: simply by dying out.
And probably by our own doing!!!
(stupidity, pollution, global warming, you name it ...)
The only insecurity is: when?
And if a possible reasoning can save this course (I doubt it!).
