The best old skool punk is the Damned. Their best song are New Rose, Smash It Up, Wait For The Blackout.
Iggy Pop and the Stooges (Raw Power, Search and Destroy) kick **** as do the Sex Pistols (Holiday In The Sun, No Fealings).
The Misfits are also great.(Astro Zombies, Horror Buisness, Skulls) Make sure you buy the old stuff with Glenn Danzig singing, the new stuff blows.
For a real hard as nails punk try GG Allin. Its not for everyone, but I love it. (Scumfuc Tradition, Abuse Myself I Wanna Die)
Old Skool is the best! New wave punk ie Good Charlotte, Offspring is very very average.
