I use the Greysheet for anything up to MS65 and non FBLs, but for MS66+ and FBLs, what is the best rule of thumb for determining a fair value using the PCGS online priceguide for PCGS slabbed Franklin Halves? That is, is there a certain percentage to deduct across the board, etc. etc.???

I don't think it is as easy as using a certain percentage deduction across the board. However I do agree with you the prices quoted on the PCGS web site are generally on the high side. Given the level of grading you are looking at there can not be too many coins trading. Maybe you could develop your own average market price by looking on eBay and Heritage Coins for recent high bids. With the information from eBay and Heritage you could then get a ballpark discount rate for the PCGS site.

A lot of work but given the grades you are looking at and the prices it may be worth it.

I can't really help you here, for Franklin halves are far to new for me to collect. My nearest dealer uses the Coin Dealers Newsletters for all the coins it covers. A while back he had a batch of slabbed Franklin's and was using it. I did not however see what grades they were, but by the strikes and eye appeal they looked high mint state. Aren't there a couple of dealers who advertise in Coin World, big on high grade Franklin's. Check out there web sites. Hope I helped some.
