Yes, for many reasons. Change in hormones, fatigue, anemia, post-partum depression. She needs a lot of extra care and understanding, not to mention help with things around the house, including the baby!!!!

It is absolutely a reasonable possibility. And the reasons are endless.

She is most likely EXHAUSTED. As well, the hormonal fluctuation is probably killing any sex drive she might have had; she could be afraid of risking a close-together 2nd pregnancy. Or she could still be sore from birth. Is she breast feeding? This can kill the libido. Post-partum depression ("baby blues") can do it. Lack of positive personal body image is a big (no pun intended) problem with a lot of post-partum women.

Any or all of these can play key roles. If the problem exists for more than six months however, she should probably see a doctor.

Oh yes!! Pregnancy is a hard process the body goes through and after the baby is born. Hormones are out of whack, we are sleep deprived and trying to take care of a baby and our own selves and other children. There is every chance a woman will regain her sex drive within a couple of months. Most times the lack of sex drive is purely temporary.

Yes they can for several reasons. First pregnancy and childbirth wreak hormonal havok on a woman's body. Then taking care of a newborn baby is exhausting in itself until you get your routine established and for some babies that can take quite a while. So even if you are "in the mood" you are too tired to do anything. It's a big change physically, mentally and emotionally.

Absolutely! Not only has her body just been through the wringer and her hormones are out-of-whack, but she now has this new baby. A new baby takes a lot of energy and adjustment.
Give her a month or so for her body to heal and for her to get acclammated with the baby. . .and while you're being patient. . .pamper her. Bring her things she needs, give her a massage. . .show her you care and understand and you will be rewarded!
