To simplify fractions, divide both the numerator (top) and denominator (bottom) by the same value. In this instance, try dividing 66 by 3 and also 9 by 3. You get 22/3. Since this cannot be divided by the same value evenly you stop here. If you want to reduce it to a mixed expression, you can divide the 22 by the 3 and get 7 1/3. Either is an acceptable reduction. Use this same technique to reduce the other two.

For the second, the first 6 is already reduced, so just concentrate on the 6/9 portion. The result will be 6 x/y where x and y are the results of your division.

For the third, you can divide first by 10 to get 66/90. Then find additional values that you can divide into top and bottom evenly. You might try 3 again and see if there are additional values after that.

I hope this gives you a better idea of the process of simplifying.
Good luck.

66/9 = 66 divided by 9 =7 there are 3 left over which means 7 3/9 which simplifies to 7 1/3

6 6/9 =(you divide 6 and 9 both by 2) 6 2/3

660/900 =(you divide both 660 and 900 by 10) 66/90 = (you divide 66 and 90 divided by 2) 33/45

by the way Andrew is extremely wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!
