about what episode does the timeskip occur?

also does it ever say what happened to narutos parents?

They haven't gotten that far in the American series. In the American manga, they're only up to vol 12, or around Naruto Vs. Neji fight. On the Toonami show, they are up to the Gaara Vs. Sasuke (the 3rd part of the chunin exmas). Also, on the American DVD's of the series, they're around the begging episodes. Then, on the DVD's that have english subs, they're only on like 200 right now. In the Japanese manga, they're on 335. The time skip though is only on the Japanese version, and that's around one hundred something, but maybe you should check out a website for that. I DO know that the episodes when Team 7 reunite after the time skip is from 306-308 ^ ^. I hope I helped.

Timeskip? I don't think it occured yet, and I don't think it will for a long time since we'll be watching fillers until Spring.. but currently they haven't ever told us of Naruto's parents yet. Some people are guessing the fourth hokage is Naruto's dad though. But that's just guessing.

Money Element vs. True Element: Episode 174: Naruto has been given a mission to play with Kunihisa, the highly spoiled son of a rich jeweler, along with some other minor missions.

Laughing Shino: Episode 186: Naruto and Shino are escorting Fuuta, the next in line heir to the Kagetsu clan. Even though Fuuta will inherit all assets from the late head, a special condition is attached: He must not laugh in his seat at the funeral.
Konoha Moving Center: Episodes 187–191: A request comes from the lord of the Land of Vegetables to escort a group of peddlers. Naruto, Chōji, and Hinata are forced to team up and join the peddlers on their journey, and later on they are attacked by three mysterious jōnin ninja.

Reintroduction: Chapters 245–247: Two and a half years later, an older and stronger Naruto returns to Konoha. This arc focuses on reintroducing the main characters, Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi, and displaying how much they have grown via the infamous bell test. Others reappearing in this segment include Jiraiya, Tsunade, Konohamaru, Iruka, Shikamaru, Gaara, and Temari.
Rescue Gaara: Chapters 248–281: The Fifth Kazekage, Gaara, is kidnapped by Akatsuki. Team Kakashi is sent to Sunagakure as backup. The mission turns into a rescue mission as Team Kakashi, with Chiyo of Sunagakure and Team Guy as their backup, chase after Gaara's kidnappers.
Exposition: Chapters 282–284: Naruto runs off to find a substitute team member to intercept Sasori's spy. Naruto reunites with Shino, Kiba, Hinata, Choji, Ino, and Shikamaru again. Team Kakashi temporarily gets two new team members, Yamato (replacing Kakashi as leader) and Sai (replacing Sasuke). Meanwhile, Tsunade has to deal with distrust from the villager elders.
Sasuke and Sai: Chapters 285–310: The new Team Kakashi follows up on some information received from Sasori about a meeting with a spy among Orochimaru's followers. The meeting fails, when the spy, Kabuto Yakushi, turns out to be still loyal to Orochimaru. Later, Team Kakashi invades Orochimaru's base in pursuit of Sai, who had betrayed the team on the orders of his Root superior, Danzo. Naruto and Sakura finally meet Sasuke for the first time since his defection from Konoha roughly 2½ years earlier. Sasuke, however, is far from what he used to be.
Current arc: Chapters 311–Present: After returning from the Grass Country, Kakashi and Yamato begin training Naruto so he can create his own jutsu. Meanwhile, Akatsuki begins getting more active, capturing two tailed beasts at once. When two Akatsuki members, Hidan and Kakuzu, make their way into the Land of Fire, Tsunade mobilizes 80 of Konoha's ninja to deal with the threat. However, when Asuma Sarutobi is killed by Hidan in battle, Team 10 teams up with Kakashi to confront the two powerful ninja on their own.
