Sorry, not all players are male, fat, and white. There are over 70 countries in the world darts federation, This includes Africa, South America, Asia and Australia. The problem is that the stuff you see on TV is all produced in Europe at this time and they only televise the men. As far as professional goes, Europe is the only place you can actually make a decent living playing darts, hence the stereotype you mentioned.
Last time I checked, the dart did not know what I looked like when I threw it, I really think the dart did not care!

Because darts is mostly a game played in European bars. Most Europeans are white and if they're hangin out in a bar on a regular basis, they tend to get a little hefty.

Because darts is a traditional pub game in england.
Pubs sell beer - beer, if you drink a lot can make you put on weight.
They've stopped the guys on TV drinking beer in front of the camera, but where do you think they learned their skills?

I was in a pub yeaterday and darts was on and there was a skinny man on (still white, but definitely not fat!!) Also, my friend's husband is on a regional team and he is rail thin!!

because they drink large amounts of beer or the landlord wont let them practise and the only sun you get in a pub is some scabby news paper with the crossword half filled incorrectly and a moustache drawn on a page 3 girl.

lol, um...because you just stand there while your throwing the darts, and when you a professional at something you practice a lot. i think that explanes it pretty well.

Because most of them started playing in their local pub and you d'ont have to really exercise and stay fit to play darts.

Because they have nothing better to do while they play and take turns but drink, eat, I mean really they do not burn many calories tossing a dart.
