Just wait it out, but watch your step.
She's probably out having a romantic time with the mouse that lives in your basement.
Keep doing what you're doing. Leave some food, watch your feet, and keep it real.

Check behind your computer. It was probably warm there, and they sometimes like to nibble on electrical cords. Look all over the desk it was on, but don't be surprise it it's hopped off. Hamsters have terrible eyesight, and often jump down without knowing the distance to the bottom.
Under couches are also favorite spots, as there's lots of cushioning they can tear up. They tend to favor most any spot that's narrow, dusty and hard to get to, so behind furniture is also a favorite.
I'd close all your door, and tear apart that room first, then go on to individual rooms. Start with ones that have warm elctrical stuff near the ground, or heating vents (if you have them) especially those behind furniture.. Close doors once you're sure it's not around, and use garage rags to fill in any gaps. Do the trash can trap thing in several places, even in rooms you've already checked, because no offense, but if you can loose a hamster, you can also probably overlook it when you're on the search. Add a little newspaper to the bottom of each trashcan, and put some treats inside too, so the hamster will want to go in, but won't get smashed apart falling to the bottom.
Hamsters sometimes like to chew up clothing to make nests,so be sure to look in all your clothes piles and bedding drawers too.

SHORT TERM SEARCH:
First go through the most hazardous places in your house, mainly behind stove, heater, behind or under the refrigerator. These tend to be the most warm places around your house but also the most dangerous. Make sure doors remain lock at all times. They seem to like shoes and closets go through them.
Note: When i was a kid my hamster burned two legs because I didn't search in these places first. It took me a while to find him
:-(
LONG TERM SEARCH:
I used to put food in all the rooms around the house. Count how much food you put, i.e. let's say 5 seeds in each room. When you see less than 5 in a room, that's a good indication that she might be close.
Just keep looking and don't give up, good luck!

leave the cage in a place where she can get to it, because she'll probably head back. if its a syrian hamster, she hasn't gone far. i doubt she's off of the floor. check under dressers, in closets under beds, in shoes. alert your family that a hamster is missing.
one idea!
make a pile of textbooks like a staircase that lead up to a garbage can that she cannot climb out of. place a treat on each step. she will probably be in the can in the morning.
good luck. no offense, but be more responsible! =\ your hamster could get hurt!

Yea gather food in like 3 or 4 different spot of your house and check them hourly!!! I remeber 1 time when my sister lost her hamster and we never found it. So life when on and the whole house started smelling like DEATH!!! We had somebody check the heater and vents and there was the hamster burnt up in the vent!!!! It was very sad!

They make live traps for mice, etc. You put a little bait and when it crawls inside, the door shuts and its safe.
You can get them at any hardware store.

First, close your doors, that happened to me once, you have to listen to the foot step sounds at night, well, in my case it started to dig and chew, that's how I tracked it down. But don't worry, it'll come out eventually, when it's starving.
