today I showed a picture of George W. Bush to a 4 year old girl and she had no idea who he was...so I told her "That's George Bush, our president" she was still clueless.
THEN I showed her a picture of Britney Spears (her face) and she immediately shouted "Oh! That's Britney!"

SHE'S 4!!!! Of course she's gonna know who Britney is because she is a media celebrity (an annoying one, but one all the same). She is in the entertainment industry whose demographic is young girls! George Bush is a politician (an annoying one, but one all the same) who's default demographic is idiot Republicans and red neck oil billionaires but certainly not 4 year old girls! What do you expect?? Who do you really think is going to more appealing to a four year old girl, the pretty lady with the shiny costumes or the graying,old, boringly dull, fool of a so called President! When you were FOUR did you know who the president was?? I bet you didn't....but I bet you knew who was the most popular media figure didn't you. It's all relative to what a person is saturated with. Give the poor girl a break and chill out...America is not going anywhere just yet....

You could ask the same of some adults - and they'd give you the same response...that is what's really sad. Dumbing down of America. The world as a whole really. Not as smart as we used to be and easily manipulated and led on by the corporations that use the media (and visa versa) to get us to do and THINK what they want us to do and think - very often using the talking heads of tv to do so (extreme right and left wing commentators)...and through many other mediums as well. People are brainwashed...can't think on their own anymore (they think they can - but they do not - they just reverbage what they hear on tv and the radio or in idiotic forwards of emails) People are truly truly idiots for the most part in this day and age. THAT is what's happening to America. But try to get the idiots to see that. They can't..they are blinded to the truth by now.

This polictial correctness is taking the pi**. changing the name of snow white and the 7 dwarfs too snow white and the 7 vertically challenged people. trying to get ride of kids sports days is going to far.
