If you are asking to compare weights with your child, don't. You are setting yourself up for a lot of worry! When my son was born he he was almost 8 pounds, but he lost a whole pound between birth and a couple days home before he started maintaining his weight and took forever to gain even enough to be on the weight band! But he has also almost always been in the 100th percentile on his height, so while he looks healthy as a horse (and the doctors assure me he is) on paper things don't look like they add up. He is now 11 months, around 32 inches, and approx. 22-24 lbs (his checkup isn't for another month, I'm approximating from the 2 months ago) but he is not what I would call thin by any means!! Just take into account the other mesurements too, they can make them look much heavier or much lighter, either way each baby is wonderful just the way they are!!

Keep in mind that all children are different. The average weight for a one year old is between 17 & 24 lbs.
And to the first answerer: Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to get your child checked for a thyroid problem.

Typical weight for a one year old is around 20 (plus-minus) pounds, although my son is only 6 months old, but he already weighs over 25 pounds. Everything is individual.
The answerer below me: my child is perfectly healthy, he's just a big baby (97 percentile - not even 100, so there are bigger babies than him!). All firstborns on my husband's side are big. Thanks for advice, and keep in mind that not everything is a medical condition! You said yourself that all babies are different.
