What education course would you recommend for a newly qualified teacher (in England) wanting to teach adults with special needs?

I have a degree and an MA but I want to delve deeper into the education field that is special needs.

Any ideas would be great

Look for a general course in special education. Such a course will give you an overview of the areas of exceptionalities and the general learning needs related to disabilities. From there you will have a better background to determine where to go from there.

I have given you a link to the special education website for my province which may help you. I have also included a link to some course descriptions at a US university. Best of luck with it.

why not talk to your personal tutor they should be able to steer you in the right direction or go to a special school and talk to the teachers / head as see what they can offer you
