I don't want to kill them, but they have got to go! Any suggestions?

I used to breed mice for a petstore. They paid me 50 cents per mouse. If you can, take them to a petstore and ask them if they need any mice. Your best bet would be a small chain petstore, not a large one like petsmart as they have enough.

short of getting a rat snake or other constrictor for a pet - and then letting it have the run of your house, you will probably have use some form of trap. If you have so many that you see them regularly, then you probably have a family of them that will continue to reproduce until you will be living with them instead of the other way around. There is a new trap out that looks like a "chip clip" - you squeeze the two tabs together and it locks in the open position. find an area where they are running back and forth and set one of the trap wher they are likely to run right up to it. Put a small amount of peanut butter on the upper-inside of the trap. This will work. I know it's a little gross for some people to use kill traps, but I'm afraid it's either that or you might as well start putting out food for the mice and adopting them as pets also. Good Luck

Please keep in mind that when you turn your mice over to a pet store that there is a 90% chance that your mice will be sold as reptile food. Sad but true. When I had my first accidental litter of rats I was going to give them back to the store. Decided that it would be safer for them if they stayed with me for life.

If you want your mice to go as pets, you will have to ask around and find the pet homes yourself.

I started out with three mice and ended up with 20. Things started to get out of hand. So I put 17 of them in a box and brought them to a Pet shop. No one was around...so I just left them by the register and then split. Now I have two female silk mice and one male. I am keeping the male seperate. No more breeding.

You might also want to consider contacting a science teacher at a local school. Perhaps someone would like to have some mice as classroom pets.

You can take them to the pet store... Although, they will most likely go as snake food in this case. But I think other than keeping them, this might be your only option. It's kind of hard to "find homes" for mice.

If you cant find anyone to take them take them someplace remote and turn them loose they are mice (never do this with any other animal though)...they will live well and find plenty of food...if you dont want to do this...buy a pet snake that will keep your number of new baby mice to a minimum

Perfect suggestion: ask the pet store if they want them, if not, give them t a friend.

Hope this helps!! :-)

I agree with Cody. A pet store is a good option, and if they won't buy them, you can still offer to give them free and that may encourage them to take 'em off your hands.
