Dreams are metaphors. Something in your current circumstances has a similarity to the relationship with your Ex. It might be anyone, male or female, not necessarily another bf. See what the emotional parallels are in something in your current life and what happened with your ex and how you felt about it. Notice when you have the dream, if it's recurrent. That will help you see what it's related to in your present day situation.

Yes, unresolved issues as there is betrayal and therefore no equality. My x wanted control but when we separated, I dreamed he looked up my skirt as he slid along the floor in a meeting of some sort. It was quite funny to me. I left the small area and set up a new home but I changed his name to Jennifer so I could talk about the good times with our sons without recalling the bad times. The bad times couldn't be resolved at that time. I simply erased them from my mind and only spoke of the good memories. Some one said that they would believe I was gay. I didn't care. I just needed a name I could live with that had comfort qualities to me and that was safe. Many years later we did recall how wonderful he was except for that awful betrayal part. We could never resolve or trust him because of that but we did like him again. Who knows, maybe another 15 years and that would be resolved too. ha.
