you might have warped the disks on your brakes, this is caused by applying them too much such as going down hill or windy roads...you will probably need to replace the rotors if this is the case (not sure if you can resurface for this problem)

in the future, you may want to think about downshifting on long downhill drives instead of using your brake.

in many circumstances, that is from air interior the equipment. yet another chance is there's a brake fluid leak. both way, do not force the motor vehicle in this condition. you does not force it with out brakes, would you? If the pedal is going to the floor, you've critically decreased braking potential. If the pedal slowly sinks to the floor, you both have a hydraulic leak, or the carry close cylinder is undesirable. in case you may pump it perpetually with out any fluid getting on the floor, your carry close cylinder is undesirable.

The disc's are warped. This is not unusual !
You need to replace the disc's/rotors and also the brake pads, never use old pads with a new/re-cut disc.

If you are talking about hard braking then its probably your ABS, many people don't realise that this is what ABS feels like when it is working. If its just general braking it sounds as if you need new drums/pads. Does it make a noise?

Assuming it's not the ABS kicking in (and I reckon you'd know about it if it was), it's a warped disc/discs. Have both changed, and renew the pads at the same time.
