Back when Mozart was alive, he would have probably associated himself more with Eminem than most of the people on these forums. Mozart was a hellraiser and "lived" himself basically to death.
Personally, I prefer Mozart, but Eminem has a completely different medium. I often wonder what Mozart would have done with lyrics that did not have to be checked over by the royalty. He still submitted several pieces that were considered salatious at the time. "The Marriage of Figaro" is one example.
You have to remember that everything came pretty easy to Mazart while Mathers has had to work for everything he has in a world where there are thousands of people trying to break in at the same time.
So I prefer Mozart, but Eminem has earned his keep, too.

Old Eminem: 1999-2001 Including Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP, creatively rapped about funny stuff and expressed angry emotions with classic Dr Dre instrumentals (this was when he was very controversial) & Mid-Eminem: 2002-2005 Including The Eminem Show and Encore, cut out a lot of the snappy and funny raps and went for a quicker and more meaningful sound, he also produced a lot of his own work and made a lot of hits in this period.. beats sounded a little more 'modern' than previous work. he also introduced a new accent (encore) and focused on making some party style music (just lose it). he also signed a lot of rappers to his shady records label and made a lot of collaborations. I also liked Recovery but I hated Relapse.

Mozart vs Eminem? Are you ******* nuts? I can't even compare these two guys. Mozart is a classic and Eminem is rap.
Actually, anything that's classical incomparable to rap. My dad always says that at least Pavarotti really sings and rappers just doing their rapping. Well, that's because he doesn't like rap. But these two genres are incomparable. Period.

I don't think what Eminem does qualifies as music, not in the real sense. It has no melody, well not what I consider music. He can't even sing. The main emphasis is on the lyrics. And I think they are pretty lame.
