Trusting your best friend is something that should be special. You shouldn't have to worry about you bff going off telling a secret no matter what it is or what its about. You do have the right to be mad. And you should talk to your friend about the relationship, because what you have isn't so strong.

You tell your BFF that she got you in BFT (Big Fat Trouble) for not keeping her BFM (Big Fat Mouth) shut. I can't come up with any good reason for her to tell her mother this "major secret", unless it meant harm to you (for instance, if you confided wanting to hurt yourself), but this was not that. This has nothing to do with whether you should have not related this "personal business" (I am sure your mom felt somewhat betrayed); this is a matter of whether you can trust your BFF ever again.
By the way, my daughters USED TO get back at each other by telling me what the other said about me in a moment of anger, but I taught them that whatever they said to each other (unless it was to do harm to themselves or others) should stay BETWEEN THEM. They are best friends, and I feel their relationship to each other is a little more important than theirs to me. After all, I will be dead (hopefully) before they die, and they need to trust each other.

You shouldn't have done it, but now that you have, you also know that you cannot trust your best friend. The only way to keep a secret is not to tell anyone. Especially when that secret is not your own.

Well, at least now you know not to tell everything to your bff anymore. You were wrong too in the first place for telling someone about your parents' secret. It's not your business to expose someone else's stuff.

I would trust my best friend but if you are mad at her may be that you have a right to be mad at her because you trusted her and you thought that she would not say any thing to any one not even her mom or dad but i think she didn't have the right to do that!

Wow, Im sorry that this happened to you. A true best friend would have taken what you said and buried it with HER own secrets! Not air it out like it was her personal business. Damn skippy you have a right to be mad!

You, should defenitely trust your best friend. But, just like you weren't suppose to tell you did any way....things just slip out sometimes. This might have happened to your friend and she might have trusted her mom to not tell but, her mom did, so it's not completley her fault.

There is noone to be trusted but God and yourself, u will realize this as u get older and wiser on this planet.
Your best friend could be your worst nightmare.
Just apologize to your Moma for eavesdroppin on a conversation, and she will understand and be aware next time she has a conversation.
