Alchemy, with the right recipes, can rake in some good gold - major mana, mageblood, etc, can get 10-20 per stack. Herbs really are great to farm for - stuff like icecap or dreamfoil can rake in a lot too, and black lotus can go 10-15 each.
Felwood is a good place to farm - the satyrs drop good stuff, including the occasional epic and a lot of felcloth. At 60, you can also role through places like Scarlet Monastery - I can clear 10-15 an hour there soloing.
Mining, you can make some money, though the big bucks from that comes from arcane crystals, and you'll be competing with farmers. Still, with jewelcrafting coming out, you'll see an increased demand for all mining stuff soon. Blacksmithing is pretty much right out - there's not a lot of money from that.

I'd suggest quests...maybe in Winterspring. I'm a 60 mage and I know I haven't exhausted the high end quests. Since they'll give you gold instead of exp that may be a good way to make some money. Sometimes I'll run low-end instances (I'm Horde, so Wailing Caverns is good for me). Since I have skinning, I try to gather as many perfect deviate hides as possible. They'll sell for 1-2 gold each or I'll pass them to my alt to make Deviate Scale Belts (level 19 blue twink item that sells for 15-25g each...but require 10 deviate scale and 10 perfect deviate scale). I tend to pick up a blue item or two off the mobs in there and can make 10g off some of them.
I can hardly call myself rich though. Those respecs are costly, LOL!
Edit - 12/21 9:20am...I checked the vendor with my 60 undead mage last night. Apparantly the cost of training and the cost of the mounts have swapped places. Standard mounts are 9g for me, and an epic mount is 90g! I do not PVP or get much honor, so that has not brought the price down. One of my friends said the training now costs like 90g and the mounts are cheaper...and the mount price I have verified. Not sure about training since I already had training though. So if you have the 200g...you should be able to get your level 60 mount! =)

Your two professions are a good pair, meaning they work together well as a supplier to one another... but they arent the best money maker.
The people who make money the fastest are those who purely gather. mining, skinning, herbalism, even fishing high end fish.
Drop alcemy and pick up skinning. I say this instead of mining because you can only "scan" the area for one kind of material at a time. You already are scanning for herbs, so pick up skinning. Chances are that animals are roaming around the herbs anyway.
If you do this, and do it while completing money based quests, you will find your pockets filling quickly. Speaking of which, there is a UI mod that tracks and remembers herbs you have found so you know where x,y,or z were last, so if you want to keep harvesting, just access the mod. I just cant remember if its Cosmos, meta map, etc.
Good luck getting that mount! Have fun

Drop your crafting professions. Crafting is generally not very profitable. Go for mining and skinning, or mining and herbal and sell everything.
Also do lower level instances solo. First, you can take your pick of items without having to roll for em. Second, you probably will not be using any of them, so you will make money by selling.
I have not done this regularly, but I think you could make good money at it if you tried. Watch AH items closely, and pick off under priced items whenever you can and resell them at a more typical price.
Also remember at level 60 you get money instead of experience for completing quests. Be careful about equipment upgrades. At you level you are really gonna have to shell out to get anything new, and it probably won't be that much of an improvement.
Lastly, just play the dang game and don't worry if you don't have the absolute best of everything.

I agree with what was said earlier. Drop Alchemy, pick up Skinning. Gathering professions are the money-makers since you sell what everyone else need to level their professions.
You may also want to make good friends with the Scarlet Monastery. It is one of the higher instances that you can run solo. Go in with a bunch of empty bags and sell everything you get. Repeat often and you will be surprised how fast the gold builds up

Ok here my advice, I made all my gold... saved up about 10k gold before switching from herb/alchy. Right now is the time to for alchy! With all the PvP going on all servers due to the patch people are buying them faster than ever. I would make mongoose, speed, shadow power, fire power, and any other attribute adjusting potions. I wouldn't go with the healy/mana pots since they can get them from the BG's pretty cheap. But right now is the time to be a alchy! stick with it and you will make mad cash fast. Also transmute like a fool.

All the Daily quests are perfect you. Especially the new Shattered Sun Offensive daily quests. Each quest gives an average of ten gold. Also, complete any other quests you havent already, you wont get experience obviously, but you will get gold extra gold instead of the experience. You can now do 25 daily quests each and every day. This should help you increase the amount of gold you have in no time.

Alchemy and herbalism is the BEST money maker profession in the game in my opinion. However it might be easier to ask to borrow gold from a friend and pay her/him back over time. I have seven epic mounts (yeah why, I dunno I just like them) I got my money from farming Tiers hand, selling herbs and potions and of course raiding. I also have 3 level 60's with different professions that help me make my gold. Buying gold is not the best option because I heard people get banned for doing that.
Goodluck to you.

You will have to Farm for cash, go fine some humonid mobs they usually drop coins and cloth which sells well on the AH
Or you can go Herb the high level herbs, which always sells well on the AH.
