Yes it is but like anything else its not for everyone. I habe the 1st season on DVD as well as several Tom Baker and SylvesterMccoy episodes. All the doctors companions are great and play off each other very well. Does anyone have a favorite companion? For myself it was Sarah Jane,Leela,Ace & Rose. Depends on which year your watching I guess

yeah some people think that it's all weird and nerdy to watch it and others think it's a kids show but it definetly isn't it's one of my all time favourite shows and it clearly isn't just for kids because torchwood is a spin-off after all andno way should kids be allowed to watch that, so doctor who must be tageted at adults and teenagers. and it really is cool.

some story lines better than others. Kathryn tate would be good as perm side kick to the dr!!

The plots are very intricate, but the special effects are quite cheap. I would rather watch Stargate SG-1 or Eureka.

Yes. I mean, it didn't run 30 years and then get revived for no reason! Too bad they don't show it on PBS in the States anymore.

No. I can't believe that the fans are willing to accept such cheapo production values from the BBC. It hasn't improved sinse I used to watch it in the 70s.
