just wondering has anyone used mininova and is it legal.
i don't want to sign up for 66p month and it being illegal with viruses.
your thoughts.

Pretty much all the free torrent sites are illegal, unless you use them for downloading freeware or open source stuff.

mininova is free, and its only legal if you don't download illegal content. exampl you can download freeware software and such for free, but downloading copyrighted stuff such as movies or music is illegal to do. The site iself is in the grey area of legal, as it is just providing a service has no resposibility for what torrents are on there. Yet like with all downloading places, if you use it to download software, movies, music that requires you to pay for it somewhere else then you are breaking the law.
EDIT: this is just for those people who gave me a negaitive thing and anyone else thinking of doing the same for lack of understanding the concept.
FILE SHARING IS NOT ILLEGAL!!!! but downloading illegal things from file sharing is. and thats what I said, it is legal to go to these sites, it is legal to download something from the site, as long as it isn't something that is copyrighted, such as a movie, music or some software...but if you download a song that someone has made and has hosted it on a file sharing thing and they hold the copyright then you can download it as they want you to.
much like limewire is legal as long as it isn't used for downloading illegal stuff.
So if used for downloading things that are legal then it is fine to use, but lets face it 99.99% of people who use such things do so to obtain illegal stuff. But just because you have downloaded something illegal from it does not mean that file sharing is illegal, that just means that you used it to commit a crime.
so what have we learnt
FILE SHARING = LEGAL
DOWNLOADING COPYRIGHTED MATIRIAL USING FILE SHARING = ILLEGAL

It is free. http://www.mininova.org I have used it for years, just scan the folder before opening it. And yes it is illegal.

good question, an ive rated it. i was wondering how can torrent sites be legal? after all we're nickin stuff aren't we? i use to use torrent reactor but my new anti V wont let me in it.
