Definately.. i think it would be an awesome experience to see all the changes that go on in the world, all the new inventions, all the things that we thought we only possible in the "future". It would be awesome to actually get to see your great and great great grandchildren grow up and watch your family expand. not to mention all the stories you would have to share with your family about how things were "when you were young" lol for example they would laugh at how we think that hybrid cars are so cool now... but by then people will be flyin around like the jetsons lol.. ohh the possibilities!! it would also give you more time to achieve all your goals and see all that youve ever wanted to see! so yes i think it would be fantastic!

Absolutely. My goal in life is to learn every thing I can before I leave this earth.

The sad part is, when I was younger (12 - 25) I didn't realize the joy I get out of learning, and did everything I could to avoid learning because of the perceived work it involved. That's 13 years of wasted time that I could have focused on gaining knowledge.

I had a great aunt that lived to be 104 and she was as happy a person you will ever meet right up until she passed. She used to say "The older I get, the smarter I get, but unfortunately my body doesn't work the same way." It's so amazing to me that our bodies hit our physical peak at about age 28 - 32, and then start to decline but our brains continue to mature in a positive way (except in cases of disease and senility) until we die.

So barring a physical or mental ailment I would love the opportunity to age well beyond what the average is. I would do my best to learn everything I could and experience as much as possible with the extra time. I try and do that now with whatever amount of time I'm already allotted, so if God offered me extra time, I would definitely take it.

This is a hard question, I keep changing my mind, yes, no, yes, no. Right now, I think no. I'm not even close to half way there yet and already my "normal" functions and alertness are not as normal as they used to be in my twenties. Maybe if I was still living independently, able to have hobbies and my friends were still alive to do stuff with, okay.

I'm 77; my mother lived to be 98; her mother and father were 96 & 97 when they passed away!! My dentist told me I'd have my teeth for another 30 yrs! So that'll take me to 107 if my body keeps up with my teeth! I DON'T want to be a burden on my children, but If I could keep my MIND functioning as well as my body, I'd LOVE to see how people and the world, hopefully, advance!! I've willed my cadavor to a medical school--maybe they could use it even that old. BUT 125 yrs? I just don't think that medicine has progressed to a point where there could be any quality of life at that age. The oldest just passed away at 114. But...I'm sure NOT going to opt out voluntarily! Life is precious.

I remember when I used to think people in their 30's were old.

I agree that if you are functioning, can travel and your mind is clear, then maybe 125 wouldn't be so bad. Unfortunately most of the people I knew died in their 60's. My mother is still alive and she will be 80 but she admitted the other day that she is tired and ready to go. My father is76 he too admits to being tired. So I really think it depends on your outlook on life. Personally..I am ready to go anytime. I have finally made some peace with myself and God.

Hey, I would like to be able to live to be 500 if it would be anything like it is for me now.. I'll be 74 in March. I have many friends that have girlfriends that are in their 20's. Mine is 23 and we have mucho fun.
By the way, the Spanish girls are not treated very good by the Tico boys, so they would rather go with an old foggy and be treated good.
We also do not get them PG and leave them.

Based on my life today, probably not. But if in the future my situation (along with the world situation) were to improve, Yes, I might. I would want to know that I was financially stable and had many friends. or at least something worthy that I was doing in my life. Like if I were a huge life force for others or something like that.

No way!!!

My grandfather-in-law turned 100 this year and he is doing really well health wise, but he told me that he is tired of life. He is ready to die, but life just keeps on going for him.

I would not want to live that long anyway. While life is nice, it is not so great that I want to live to 100, let alone 125. I will be happy to live into my 80s.

Take care,
Troy

It all depends on the quality of your life. I'd like to live until I was 200 as long as I was healthy enough to do things, see ppl and places.

It would also be helpful to have some form of employment or make a charitable donation of your time so as to feel needed.
