YKK Group is a manufacturor of generic zippers from Japan. If your jeans or clothes were higher dollar, they will usually have the maker's brand on them, especially when a zipper is not a common size or specially made for the item.
This knowledge is from 5 years in an alteration shop repairing zippers, among other things, and buying them in bulk from YKK.

the clasp locker was it was called was invented in 1894 by Whitcomb L Judson.(Sweden) The clasp locker was an assemblage of hooks and eyes that Judson would save ppl time and sore backs by fastening their shoes with one hand.

I believe it is the standard used for that zipper. You know like the teeth spacing and the way it latches.
