I am NOT looking into being one but I know someone who is and I was just curious to see how others react to it.
I'm not saying women can't do jobs like this by any means...I do want to make that clear.

UncleWayn- what drug are you on?? I didn't say ANYTHING about me being judgemental did I? And what would it matter what her name is? It's not like you know her. Your answer made NO SENSE whatsoever.

I drove over-the-road for a time....most female truckdrivers were just trying to make a living as best they could... it is not a nice place for them out there...or for a man for that matter, and those who survive with their morals intact are to be commended for surviving at all.... I met some very good women drivers... and I met some who were worse than Two bit whores... but the same can be said for the male side... there are some of the best men out there and some of the worst.... the men who are of the worst are The Worst... fortunatly they are the small minority

I drove a truck years ago & loved it!! The hardest thing for me was getting used to eating out everyday. Most of the men I met along the way were wonderful as well as helpful.

I am a women truck driver . and I love it I drive from cost to cost. the USA is my back yard how many women can say that. i am 110 pounds and i drive a Pete green at that it is great no boss no desk no going to the same job day after day i am gone 10 days home 3

I think it's fine. However they have to put up with alot of male chauvinist till they establish themselves. I have been a mechanic for 10 yrs and the first few were tough.

Does the woman have a name? Of course she has. So, it should not be what do you think about Women Truck Drivers? It should be what do you think about Mary Jane the Truck Driver?
Every person has a name and a unique personality, and a special talent in this world.
Of course you knew that, but sometime it needs to be reitterated to remind ourselves (myself included) not to use stereotypes to judge a person.

I think it's great.
Every time a truck drives by me, all I see are men drivers.
I'd like to see a woman for a change.

they look like men at least most of the time if that's what she wants to do more power to her, but I couldn't do it being in a truck cabin all day is just to confining
