Are Liberals more religious than they realize:

they have their own holy book - Darwin's "origin of the species"

they have their own commandments - thou shall abort the unborn babies, thou shall have sex with whoever you want, thou shall not be personally responsible for yourself, etc.

they have their own saints - Charles Darwin, Roger Baldwin, Margaret Sanger, Bill Clinton

they have their own clergy - school teachers/college professors

they have their own churches - public schools

they have their own ideas heaven and hell - heaven = communism and hell = capitalism

it seems clear liberalism has all the same things a religion does. therefore, wouldn't it make sense to keep liberalism out of government and the public square? let them practice their religion in their own homes, but don't force their silly beliefs on me!

LOL... i think "welltraveled" proved my point. he refers to Darwin's book as if it is factual when the THEORY of evolution is clearly just a THEORY... hence being called a THEORY. if it was accepted fact they wouldn't call it a THEORY (how do liberals always miss that point?)

also, i know, i know... everyone on the internet is very rich, extremely smart and a tough guy. apparently anyone who can type anonymously makes more money than me, can beat me up and is more educated. LOL

bow to your liberal gods welltraveled...!

Cultish for sure. If you don't drink their Koolaid your deemed a heretic.

Rat, rattling the cages of the leftists by putting truth right in front of them draws their eyre too.

While some purport to be "Christian" they are more likely to adhere to liberal doctrines associated with communist "liberation theologians".. The fallacy of "Christian liberalism" is they see free speech as a threat when it disagrees with their view point. "Let's all just get along, and sing Kumbaya.. " The mentality of liberal theology is that it takes Marxism in bits and pieces. But when it comes down to brass tacks "Christian liberals" can't telll you that they can separate religious from political.

They can not handle discord. It's is something they seem psychological incapable of handling.

I don't think the argument a liberal gives for 1st amendment Freedom OF is the same as Freedom FROM religion. They see their way as the ONLY way as do many on the religious RIGHT.. Hubris is a big stumbling when arguing religious and philosophical premises. Arrogance gets in the way of constructive discourse.

I believe that people should be free to achieve as they see fit or fall on their face. If a person wants government to steal from one group of people in a wealth re-distribution scheme such as welfare or Social Security they are a commie in my book. In the 1950s commies were delegated as enemies of the US, today they run an entire political party.

I'm sorry, could you be more foolish? A religion, by definition, is a belief in a God, Goddesses, Gods, or other Higher Power.

Besides, liberals don't consider Origin of Species a Bible, they just happen to agree with what it says. Do you consider the Telephone Book to be a Bible, just because you believe that it is mostly accurate?

Many liberals hate public schools. I know I hate the way that conservatives manipulate the public school system to preserve the interests of the ruling class.

I don't think communism is heaven, because I think heaven is a place that happens to some after they die, not an economic theory.

In short, I am a liberal Christian. Lots of Christians are actually liberals, if by liberal you mean believing that those with means should help those without, the systems of government should be set up to benefit the common good and not the wealthy few, people should have the right to follow whatever religion they want (heck, even God let's us have that right--why should the state take it away?). Read "Homegrown Democrat: A Few Plain Thoughts From the Heart of America" by Garrison Keillor.

How does ones love of freedom and liberty remedy any undertaking, from acid rain to worldwide warming. You seem to intend that those innovations bar persons and/or governments from analyzing with the suitable medical kit available the basis reasons of such problems and initiating an tutorial-political communicate approximately a thank you to shrink the importance of the undertaking to a length it relatively is practicable and does not threaten the sustainability of the organic environment wherein all of us stay and paintings. If bar is basically too harsh then, at a minimum, you mean that any scientifically based attempt to examine and remedy an environmental undertaking (fairly frankly it style of feels it relatively is actual around the board for thus-noted as conservatives) is totally corrupt, even if the technology, if it presages any value to or prohibition on any human action or interest no depend how injurious it proves to be. you're all reactionaries interior the truest and worst experience of the word.

Gee, you just made up your own little thing there. I can only assume you are a conservative but not a Christian. I say that because being a Christian (and a liberal) I most definitely recall reading quite a bit, including a very meaningful passage in Christs own words, about judging others. Your nauseous lies are another issue altogether. You may be quite popular with the immature, generalizing divisive set but you represent your religious beliefs in a way that can turn people off to your faith. Not quite what Christ intended for us to do.

If you are shooting for humor, you may have missed your mark.

If you are serious then you are sadly misinformed. Please, few would consider "Origins . . . " a Bible. And supporting a woman's right to choose what happens to her body is not a 'thou shalt' mandate.

Plus, many, many liberals are religious. The conservative evangelical right does not own religion. We all have religious freedom and many liberal openly and freely practice their own faith. They just don't attempt to force it into politics.

Attempts like this to marginalize opposing views out of "government and the public square" that drive us further and further away from democracy. Please stop.

Religion involves beliefs for which there is no evidence of them being factual.

None of the things you mentioned above, most especially "The Origin of Species" requires any kind of irrational belief without evidence. They only require knowledge and study, showing that the viewpoints presented represent the best interpretation of existing evidence...but they are based on evidence, not on ancient superstition and myth like religion is.

Oh, and you really should think a little bit instead of swallowing the pap put out by idiots like Limbaugh -- you'd have a hard time finding any "liberals" who either like communism or hate capitalism. I'm a liberal, and can absolutely guarantee that I make quite a bit more money than you do, and have done it through capitalism. The difference is, I'm not so greedy that I want to horde it all for myself, but don't mind using my hard-earned gains to help improve the lives of my fellow humans.

Try using your brain to think instead of just to store idiotic statements made by those only interested in keeping you ignorant and stupid.
